As Donald Trump takes the Republican National Convention stage tonight, the AFL-CIO will continue to highlight the threat his agenda poses to workers.
As part of its 2024 campaign program, the AFL-CIO, a federation of 60 unions and more than 12.5 million members, launched a comprehensive new online guide today that digs into the policies and approach of the Trump Project 2025 Agendathat will impact working people, our families, and the future of America's unions.
That agendaincludes, among other anti-worker policies:
Liz Shuler, president of the AFL-CIO, said:"In his first term as president, Donald Trump was a disaster for workers and our unions, governing exclusively for the wealthy and well-connected. The Trump Project 2025 Agenda lays out his plan to turbocharge his anti-worker policies, eliminate or control unions, and eviscerate labor laws and workers' contracts. A second Trump term would put everything we've fought for-good jobs, fair wages, health care, retirement security, worker safety-on the chopping block. This new online tool is an essential part of our massive voter education campaign to reach every union household with critical information about the stakes of this election. Union voters could be the difference-makers in this election, and the AFL-CIO and affiliated unions have a plan to mobilize tens of thousands of grassroots activists across every community to get the message out and vote."
The AFL-CIO's online toolon Project 2025 is the most comprehensive breakdown of the impact of the Trump Project 2025 Agenda on working people. It details how a second Trump term would decimate workers' ability to organize; gut health and safety protections; attack civil, labor, and consumer rights; eviscerate retirement security; and undermine our ability to hold the wealthy and corporations accountable.
