Blue Grass Airport Names Tyler Miller as Chief Operating Officer

July 8, 2024-Blue Grass Airport (LEX) is pleased to announce the selection of Tyler Miller, A.A.E., ACE, as its new chief operating officer. With over 12 years of experience in the aviation industry, Mr. Miller brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role. He will begin his new position with Blue Grass Airport on July 22, 2024.

The chief operating officer is a new position at Blue Grass Airport that will play a significant role in leading the airport from the completion of its recent Master Plan through numerous business and construction projects in the years ahead. Mr. Miller will manage Blue Grass Airport's operations, public safety, maintenance and capital planning teams. He will also work externally with key aviation partners and leaders to continue building relationships on behalf of the airport.

Tyler Miller most recently served as deputy airport director at the Corpus Christi International Airport. Prior to that role, Tyler served in leadership positions at St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport in Florida and South Bend International Airport in Indiana. A strong advocate for the aviation industry, Mr. Miller holds a bachelor's degree in aviation management from Purdue University and a Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.

"Since my introduction to the LEX team in 2016, I have always held this airport in the highest regard," said Tyler Miller. "I am deeply grateful to Blue Grass Airport's leadership and the Airport Board for entrusting me with this opportunity. Leaving Corpus Christi International Airport and the City of Corpus Christi was a difficult decision, and I extend my heartfelt thanks to them for their guidance, leadership and support during my tenure. Great things are happening at Blue Grass Airport, and I look forward to joining this fantastic team and contributing to their success."

Mr. Miller's commitment extends beyond individual achievement. As an Accredited Airport Executive, he actively participates in the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) at regional and national levels, demonstrating a dedication to industry collaboration. His leadership includes serving as chair of the National Airports Conference Committee, board member for the South Central Chapter of AAAE and regional director on the AAAE board of directors.
