The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services rates Security Health Plan as one of the top health plans in Wisconsin and nationwide

Security Health Plan of Wisconsin, Inc., has earned an overall rating of 4out of 5 stars from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for its 2025 Medicare Advantage HMO-POS plans.

CMS evaluates health plans and rates Medicare Advantage and Part D Prescription Drug plans based on a 5-star rating system. Security Health Plan's efforts throughout the year include specific initiatives to ensure members have timely access to high-quality care, preventive and necessary screenings and affordable prescription drugs.

Security Health Plan continues to implement new programs and services to educate and provide members with increased education about preventive screenings, cost-saving prescription medication alternatives, and enhanced care management services. This year we provided members with convenient at-home screenings for colorectal cancer. We continue to support our members in their overall health and provide them with health coaching and fitness services as well as smoking cessation support, over-the-counter credit to purchase items, and other perks.

Security Health Plan offers five Medicare Advantage HMO-POS plansin 54 Wisconsin counties. Three of the plans offer Part D prescription drug coverage, and two plans have a $0 premium.

Each plan covers the full range of Medicare-covered services plus cost savings for provider office visits, prescription drugs, dental, hearing and vision care. Members also can use any Medicare-certified provider in the U.S. for the same costs as an in-network provider.

Security Health Plan also offers a dual-eligible special needs plan for beneficiaries who qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid. "Security Health Plan is invested in our members and dedicated to making sure our members receive excellent care. We strive to exceed industry standards and more importantly member expectations," said Security Health Plan Director of Health Plan Quality Paula Jacobson. "We are always looking to improve our services and programs, so our members can take their medications and follow provider preventive screening recommendations and treatment protocols."

Security's Medicare Advantage plans offer additional benefits including free health coaching services, smoking cessation support and allowances toward the purchase of over-the-counter items, hearing aids and eyeglasses. Members also get access to free fitness resources, significant cost savings on insulin and optional comprehensive dental coverage.

Security Health Plan also offers its Medicare Supplement plans statewide.

Security Health Plan looks forward to welcoming new members during Medicare's annual enrollment period (AEP) from October 15 through December 7. The AEP is the only time most Medicare beneficiaries can change their benefits.
