Suspect arrested in connection to shooting in October

On November 21st, Officers arrested a man in connection to a shooting that occurred October 24th, 2024.

On November 21st, Officers arrested a man in connection to a shooting that occurred October 24th, 2024. On that date officers responded to multiple calls of gunshots heard near Henry St. and Berkeley Way. While involved parties fled prior to police arrival, evidence related to the shooting was located on scene. After further investigation, our detectives were able to identify a suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest.

On the morning of November 21st, members of the Departments Special Response team performed a warrant service at a residence in Oakland, where the suspect, a 34-year-old man, was arrested without incident on suspicion of PC 245(A)(2) - assault on a person with a firearm, PC 246.3(a) - discharging a firearm in a negligent manner, PC 246 F - shooting inhabited dwelling and other weapon related offenses.
