Join Securing Our Future Co-Chairs Dr. Jill Guttormson, dean of the College of Nursing, and Ralph Weber, vice president and general counsel, for a live webinar on Aug. 5, 2024, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. for an update on the Steering Committee's progress this summer. As the co-chairs shared in their July letter, the initiative remains in phase 3 with preliminary recommendations to be shared soon with university leaders for additional feedback. No recommendations have been shared with university leaders yet, and because of that, the co-chairs cannot share specifics and get ahead of the Steering Committee's continued work and timeline. Instead, the co-chairs will share more details about the process and answer questions submitted from participants during the webinar.

Registration is required to receive the Teams webinar link. Anyone with a Marquette email address can register for the Aug. 5 webinar. It will be recorded and shared in the Securing Our Future Teams site for those who are unable to attend.

When the webinar is live, participants can submit questions within the purview and scope of Securing Our Future. Co-chairs will respond to as many as possible within the allotted timeframe.

Webinar question guidelines:

  • Before submitting a question, please make sure you've read the latest FAQ on the Teams site to see if your question has already been answered.
  • Relevant questions align with the purview and scope of the Securing Our Future initiative: to make operational adjustments for the longevity of Marquette University and to create financial capacity to reinvest in the Marquette 2031 strategic plan.
  • Given the live format, please keep questions brief for clear, focused direction. Long submissions with multiple questions will require more time to answer.
