Herberger Business School extends AACSB accreditation

St. Cloud State University's Herberger Business School (HBS) has extended their accreditation for six years with AACSB International, a hallmark of excellence in business education.

SCSU is one of only seven business schools in Minnesota with AACSB accreditation, and HBS has been an accredited business school for nearly 50 years.

"This accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide," said Katherina Pattit, dean of the Herberger Business School. "We are focused on providing a high-quality, equitable education with hands-on, relevant coursework. Extending our accreditation with AACSB showcases how we are continuing to meet those goals."

Achieving AACSB accreditation includes an in-depth assessment of internal activities, mentorship with an AACSB advisor and a peer-reviewed evaluation focused on continuous improvement. These standards require excellence in areas relating to strategic management and innovation, research and teaching and learning.

"The commitment to earning accreditation is a true reflection of each school's dedication-not only to its students, alumni network, and greater business community-but to society as a whole," said Stephanie Bryant, executive vice president and global chief accreditation officer at AACSB.

HBS has been honored in recent years for their innovative approach to their MBA program, which has seen significant enrollment growth since switching to an online, accelerated format that is more appealing for adult learners.

Founded in 1916, AACSB is the longest-serving global accrediting body for business schools and the largest business education network connecting students, educators and businesses worldwide. AACSB's accreditation truly has an international reach, with over 65 countries and territories represented.
