Bridge the Gap Seminar scheduled for Sept. 12-13

All Iowa lawyers are invited to "bridge the gap" at the 2024 Bridge the Gap Seminar, a comprehensive event engineered to bridge the disconnect between legal theory acquired in law school and its practical application. This two-day seminar encompasses an extensive array of presentations including:

Federal Case Law Update - Chief Magistrate Judge Kelly K.E. Mahoney, U.S. District Court, Northern District of Iowa

Fair Labor Standards and Non-competes - Frank Harty, Nyemaster Goode PC

Starting Strong: Techniques for an Effective Opening Statement - Tim Semelroth, RSH Legal

Basic Guide to Trust Administration - Christine Halbrook, Halbrook Law Firm

Medicaid Qualification, Miller Trusts, and Related Issues - David Grooters, Pappajohn Shriver Eide & Nielsen PC

Insurance and Estate Planning - Jeff Ditsworth, TrueNorth Companies

Ethics - Nick Critelli, CritelliLaw, P.C.

Scheduled for Sept. 12-13, the Bridge the Gap Seminar will take place at the ISBA Building in Des Moines, with a live webinar option available. Lunch is provided to in-person attendees. Beyond the academic enrichment offered by the seminar, participants will also have the chance to establish connections with fellow emerging attorneys and gain insights into available resources.

For newly minted Iowa lawyers, ISBA leadership and event organizers highly recommend registration for the Bridge the Gap Seminar. This CLE program presents an excellent occasion to glean wisdom from seasoned legal practitioners in Iowa, expand one's professional network among peers, and fulfill mandatory CLE credit requirements. The program has been applied for 15 state CLE hours, including 1 ethics and 1 wellness hour. Don't miss this opportunity to earn the required CLE credit while learning from experienced professionals.
