LEED credential holders may apply by Nov. 24 for the LEED v5 Exam Task Force.

With registration for LEED v5 opening in 2025, GBCI is ready to start the development process for the updated exams for the LEED Green Associate, LEED AP BD+C, LEED AP ID+C and LEED AP O+M credentials.

Drawing on LEED v5 content, the exams will be updated to include the strategies and best practices that will empower LEED professionals championing critical imperatives, including decarbonization, quality of life and ecological conservation and restoration.

We need your expertise.

The LEED v5 Exam Task Force will ensure that the exams are relevant, reliable and capable of accurately measuring a candidate's knowledge and skills in the field by conducting a job task analysis, creating test specifications and analyzing the updated exams to ensure they are in alignment with the rating system.

  • Holding an active LEED credential (LEED Green Associate, LEED AP BD+C, LEED AP O+M or LEED AP ID+C).
  • Possessing knowledge of LEED, specifically LEED v5.
  • Being able and willing to follow guidelines and be trained in exam development techniques.
  • Not being associated with any LEED exam preparatory learning development or delivery.
  • Signing the GBCI Code of Professional Conduct for Volunteers.

We want your voice on the task force. Be one of the first to gain expertise and lead the way in this exciting new chapter!
