Officers Gonzales and Helberg honored for saving a life

Please join our agency in congratulating Officer Nicholas Gonzales and Officer Jenna Helberg. They are recipients of the Lifesaving and Employee of the Month awards for June.
On June 17, Officers Gonzales and Helberg responded to the parking garage at the North Charleston Coliseum for a report of a person hanging over the edge.
When they arrived, the officers located him over the ledge on the garage roof. They recognized him from an earlier incident and built a rapport with him. The officers calmly spoke to him and got him back over the ledge safely. Great job!
