NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. - Penn State Altoona goalkeeper Sasha Mohoruk, of State College, and defender Owen Myers, of Spring Grove, were both voted to the All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference team in men's soccer, the league office announced on Tuesday, Nov. 12.
Mohoruk was a first-team selection to the all-conference team, and Myers was voted to the second team.
In his second season with the Penn State Altoona men's soccer program, Mohoruk started all 13 games at keeper. He led the AMCC this season in save percentage (.800) while ranking second in saves (84), fourth in goals-against average (1.68), fifth in minutes (1,125) and fewest goals against (21), and sixth in wins (3). Mohoruk was also named the AMCC Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 16.
Myers, a four-year member of Penn State Altoona men's soccer, started all 13 games for the team during his senior campaign. He led a Lions defense that allowed the third-fewest goals (22) of any team in the AMCC, and he helped his squad compile a 1.83 goals-against average, which was fourth best in the conference. A four-year starter along Penn State Altoona's back line, Myers proved to be one of his team's most well-rounded players. Additionally, he was chosen as the AMCC Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 28.
