Tiffany Park's renovated soccer/futsal and basketball court is now open

Upgrades to the court were completed earlier this month, and the grand opening was held in partnership with the Seattle Sounders RAVE Foundation, Seattle Storm, Symetra, and Providence Swedish

RENTON, WA (JULY 26, 2024) - On Tuesday, July 23, in partnership with the Seattle Sounders RAVE Foundation, Seattle Storm, Symetra, and Providence Swedish, the grand opening of the renovated Tiffany Park multi-use soccer/futsal and basketball court was held.

Situated at 1902 Lake Youngs Way SE, this upgrade marks Renton's second mini-pitch futsal court while introducing the first inclusion of a basketball court, enhancing the recreational opportunities for the vibrant Tiffany Park community.

The sports court comprises all-weather synthetic materials that provide shock absorption, wet traction, and low skin abrasion. The upgrades include a resurfaced court, two basketball hoops, and two mini-soccer goals. Students from Tiffany Park Elementary School created the art display featured on the backboards of each hoop.

For years, Tiffany Park has been a focal point of neighborhood activities. Including this versatile mini-pitch and court will further amplify the enjoyment of neighborhood recreation and the power of play.

"Investing in our parks is extremely important. It is investing in our future; it is investing in our kids and the health of our kids." - Renton Mayor Armondo Pavone.

This community sports facility was made possible by the City of Renton's Parks and Recreation Department, the Seattle Sounders RAVE Foundation, and the Seattle Storm, along with generous donations from Symetra and Providence Swedish.
