Sterling Creek Water Flow Information

Sterling Creek at Highway 17 drains in opposite directions. The Food Lion side which includes White Oak, Live Oak, Rushing, St, etc. flows beneath I95 toward Fort Stewart into the Canoochee Water Shed and will not subside until that area starts to drain.

The side with Harris Trail Rd, drains to the Ogeechee River past where the Ogeechee meets the Marsh and is currently not being impacted by flood waters because of the Marsh.

The Ogeechee is currently receding, and as such, neighborhoods such as The Ford, Richmond Heights, Mulberry, and Richmond Place will start to see relief as the Ogeechee River begins to drop.

The two areas of Sterling creek are not connected in a way that allows for drainage from White Oak and Live Oak.
