Storm Alert – Hurricane Milton October 12, 2024

Florida is continuing its damage assessment and clean-up process while facing crowded highways and long lines at the pump as residents flood back in. Over 1.6 million Floridians remain without power, and some portions of the state are still deemed unsafe as standing water, downed trees, and snapped power lines are far and wide.

Refueling in Orlando is expected to take some time; gas is typically delivered by pipeline from Tampa, which is currently restoring power to key infrastructure. Gas deliveries by tankers are anticipated to begin by Sunday at the earliest. However, the overall gas supply situation in Florida should improve within 72 hours, helping to moderate the "gas crisis" by Tuesday and Wednesday.

As Tampa and Orlando terminals continue coming back online, we have lifted the Code Blue status for these markets and moved all of Florida to Code Red (72-hour notice for deliveries). While the supply situation is improving, road closures and power outages are still impacting deliveries in certain areas. Terminals in other regions, such as the Florida Panhandle, Jacksonville, Port Everglades, and Ft. Lauderdale, are fully operational, and trucks are loading fuel in these areas. Southern Georgia will remain on Code Orange (48-hour notice) until further updates.
