The fall matriculation examination begins on Monday, September 16, with the mother tongue and literature exam. Read what it takes to prepare for the exams! You can also find the matriculation exams test dates for each subject in the article.

5 facts about matriculation exams

  1. No communication devices, watches, smart rings, papers, texts or covering wraps may be brought into the test room. It is therefore advisable to leave your slogan T-shirts at home and hide the texts on your drinking bottles with tape. Lunch can be brought in transparent packaging, for example in a freezer box.
  1. The maximum length of each matriculation examination is 6 hours; however, in cases of special arrangements the duration of the exam can be up to 8 hours. As a result, a nutritious lunch is important for the student to stay focused.

  1. The matriculation exam is taken on a laptop in a wired examination network. Wired headphones are required for listening tasks. This prevents wireless communication. Remember to take the laptop power cord with you!
  1. As well as traditional writing, the matriculation exams can includeinclude listening, multiple-choice questions and counting
  1. Students choose at least 5 subjects from a wide range of subjects in upper secondary school, which they "write" in the matriculation exams. The examination in mother tongue and literature is compulsory for all students. In order to receive the matriculation certificate and the traditional "white cap", the student must have successfully completed at least five individual tests in their examination.
