On October 5, 2024, State Police members arrested Dawn M. Fournia, age 40, of Lyon Mountain, NY, for assault 3rd and endangering the welfare of a child.

On October 5, 2024, at approximately 6:23 p.m., Troopers responded to Blanche Road in the town of Ellenburg, NY, for a report of a physical domestic. An investigation determined that Fournia and the victim were involved in a verbal argument, which turned physical when Fournia struck the victim in the head with a metal fork. As the altercation occurred children were in the residence.

Fournia was arrested and transported to S P Dannemora for processing. Fournia was released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Ellenburg Court, for a later date in Novemeber.
