Stolen Truck Pursuit New Lebanon

PRESS RELEASE

On December 1, 2024, at 8:25 a.m., the New York State Police assisted Pittsfield Police Department with locating a stolen vehicle that may have traveled into New York.

Troopers located the vehicle in the Dollar General parking lot on Route 20 in New Lebanon. The two males described only as white and wearing dark clothing refused to comply with commands and fled the area. Troopers pursued the vehicle west on Route 20 and then south on County Route 13 in the Brainard area. The suspect operator lost control of the vehicle and exited the roadway becoming stuck. Troopers approached the vehicle again issuing commands which were ignored. The operator was able to free the truck and then rammed the patrol car while the Troopers were reentering it.

The two suspects abandoned the stolen truck a short distance away from the crash scene on County Route 13 near Kinderhook Lane and fled on foot.
