This is the latest edition of the Green Deal Funding Alert, a monthly newsletter that keeps you informed about funding opportunities and initiatives that support sustainable development and the transition to climate neutrality. This edition shows you how to apply for funding for marine and water restoration, climate change adaptation and citizen-led renovation projects, and includes a toolkit for developing and revitalising rural areas. Read on to find out how to benefit from these initiatives!

1. Horizon Europe - Three new calls for proposals on water and climate adaptation

Under the Horizon Europe programme, the European Commission has launched three new calls for research project proposals under the Restore our oceans and water and Adaptation to Climate Change by 2030 missions. A total of over EUR 230 million in EU funding is available under these calls.

2. Support service for citizen-led renovation projects - Call for tenders

Are you looking for ways to empower individuals and communities in energy renovation projects?

The European Commission has launched a new call for tenders to support the development of citizen-led renovation projects with a total budget of EUR 7.5 million. This call aims to help renewable energy communities overcome financial, legal and technical barriers and raise demand for renovations of residential buildings that comply with the EU's energy and climate priorities.

3. Technical Support Instrument 2025 call

The European Commission has recently launched a new call as part of the Technical Support Instrument (TSI) 2025 cycle, aiming to provide Member States with technical support for the design or implementation of reform projects in 2025. The topics cover a broad range of areas, including the green and digital transition, public and private finance, business environment, health, skills and education.

Requests can be submitted up to 31 October 2024.

4. Rural Toolkit - A guide to funding and support opportunities for rural areas

Are you from a rural area and looking for funding and support opportunities to foster the development and revitalisation of rural areas and communities?

The Rural toolkit is a comprehensive guide that aims to help local authorities, institutions and stakeholders, businesses and individuals to identify and take advantage of existing EU funding opportunities, to shine a spotlight on inspiring best practices of effective approaches and to provide practical guidance and knowledge by sharing useful documents, reports and manuals.
