One arrested after gunfire at mobile home park

On September 12, 2024, at approximately 10:51 p.m., New York State Police at Oneonta was dispatched by the Otsego County 911 Center to a report of gunshots at Lantern Hill Mobile Home Park in Oneonta.

An investigation revealed that a 40-year-old male of Oneonta, NY sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound after a dispute involving several individuals.

The injured male was taken to A.O. Fox Hospital by a private vehicle and later transported to Bassett Hospital for further care.

The vehicle carrying the victim was hit by gunfire during the incident.

On September 13, 2024, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Ishmael Seabrook, age 34, of Oneonta, NY, was arrested and charged with:

  • Two counts of Attempted Murder in the second degree, a class "B" felony
  • Criminal Use of a Firearm in the first degree, a class "B" felony
  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the second degree, a class "C" felony
  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the third degree, a class "D" felony
  • Reckless Endangerment, class "D" felony

The New York State Police were assisted by the Oneonta City Police Department and AMR ambulance service.

Seabrook was arraigned at the Otsego County Jail and was remanded without bail.
