Independence Day Survey Results on Bidenflation

I hope you had a relaxing and enjoyable Fourth of July and enjoyed some delicious hamburgers and hotdogs.

If you missed it, Patrick Bertoletti won the men's title at this year's Nathan's Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest, crushing 58 hot dogs in 10 minutes. Miki Sudo retained the women's title by eating 51 hot dogs, setting a new record. The men's contest had some fireworks of its own as reigning champ and 16-time winner Joey Chestnut was robbed of the chance to retain his title after being banned from the event. Chestnut had been training for nearly a year and fans all across the country deserved to see him compete for the coveted Mustard Belt. Such a travesty.

Speaking of Independence Day, I included a survey in last week's newsletter asking faithful readers to share their thoughts on how the increased costs of food and travel caused by Bidenflation impacted Independence Day plans. Hundreds of people responded and here are the results, as promised:

  • 96% responded that they would be staying home this Fourth of July because of Bidenflation.
  • 2% responded that they didn't mind paying three to four times this Fourth of July because of Bidenflation.
  • 2% were unsure.

Many thanks to everyone who responded to this survey!

Supreme Court Rules Trump Has Immunity

In a huge win for the Constitution and a major blow to the left's constant judicial witch hunt against Donald J. Trump, this week the United States Supreme Court wrapped up its term by issuing a ruling that all Presidents of the United States, including President Trump, are entitled to immunity from prosecution for official acts taken while in office. The radical left has spent years weaponizing the judicial system to target President Trump or anyone else who dares question or oppose their woke agenda.

The opinion delivered by Chief Justice John Roberts states that the President "… may not be prosecuted for exercising his core constitutional powers, and he is entitled, at a minimum, to a presumptive immunity from prosecution for all his official acts."

The Washington Post notes that the decision "… makes it highly unlikely that the 45th president will go to trial…" on charges that relate to the 2020 election. This is wonderful news! The illegitimate and sham attacks on President Trump in the aftermath of the highly questionable 2020 election must come to an end once and for all.

Despite any potential impacts this development has for President Trump, the decision is not partisan. In fact, the opinion also says that "… immunity applies equally to all occupants of the Oval Office, regardless of politics, policy, or party."

As President Trump has repeatedly said, the American people, not President Biden's henchmen, will decide the November 5th election.

It's Mail Time!

I receive thousands of letters each month. In fact, at the halfway point in the year, I have received nearly 40,000 letters and I appreciate hearing from everyone! Here are samples of letters I received this week:

Eda E. from Lake Havasu City, a faithful Gosar Newsletter reader, requests:

For several months, I have been meaning to write you. I enjoy your newsletter that comes to my email. I find it informative and helpful in keeping up on issues both inside and outside of our state.

Unfortunately, I find it very difficult to read the newsletter where it is highlighted in yellow, with white type. I am sure this is done for emphasis. But I would like to request that you change the type to black when doing this, for contrast, to help those of us who have more difficulty seeing, to not struggle to read your informative letter.

I feel this is important for accessibility, for all your constituents.Thank you for considering my suggestion.

Eda, thanks for the suggestion and for bringing this to my attention. You may want to check your browser settings on your device while reading my newsletter. Nevertheless, in response to your request, I will not be using yellow to highlight words or sentences in this newsletter, but I cannot promise that I might not revert back in a future edition. This brings me to my next point; I'm thinking about creating a survey to include in an upcoming newsletter asking readers for their opinions on ways to improve my newsletter. In my humble opinion, it's quite exceptional in its current format, but I am always looking for ways to make it better! Stay tuned.

Chuck L. from Parker, AZ shares:

There should be no doubt at all at this point that AG Garland and the DOJ are covering up Joe Biden's senility by refusing to turn over the audio/video interview Congress subpoenaed. We don't have time to screw around anymore. Congress needs to have the Supreme Court step in immediately, hopefully forcing the issue on the cabinet to do the right thing. If that means Kamala becomes President, so be it. To do otherwise is malfeasance on the part of everybody in our government to continue to allow this man, handicapped through diminished capacity, to continue to run the country.

Chuck, even Democrats and the Fake News, if they are truly being honest, would admit that Joe Biden is in a mental state of decline. Unfortunately, honesty is not their strong suit as they've spent the last few years lying, hiding and covering up Biden's mental frailty. Indeed, to your point, I voted in favor of H. Res. 1292, legislation to hold U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress for ignoring lawfully issued subpoenas and failing to turn over audio recordings of Joe Biden's interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur. As noted in my press release, by refusing to turn over Joe Biden's video recordings, the Attorney General is engaging in yet another Biden administration coverup. Last week's debate performance by Biden gives a pretty big clue why Biden and the Attorney General continue to refuse to turn over the audio recordings.

The 25th Amendment to our Constitution provides, in Section 3, that the President can step aside and let the Vice President run the county if he swears "that he is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office..." Or, under Section 4, the Vice President and a majority of cabinet members, could declare the President unfit, and the Vice President would take over. Ultimately, Congress could by a 66% vote decide the President is unable to discharge his duties.

In all scenarios Kamala Harris would become President. Even the Democrats cannot fathom that nightmare, which is saying something since Biden and his team of incompetent and anti-American cabinet members have done a great job wrecking this country. To be honest, we don't need the interview tapes to know what is really going on. Anyone who has been paying attention knew Joe Biden had severe cognitive decline in the last 18 months, probably longer. We said it many times, yet the Democrats pretended they couldn't see it. Until the debate. In four months, we have an election. Pray for our country and that means pray Donald Trump wins.

David B. from Surprise, AZ shares:

FREE THE POLITICAL PRISONERS, BANNON, NAVARRO AND J6 PATRIOTS!

David, there can no longer be any debate that Nancy Pelosi's sham January 6th Committee was, in fact, nothing more than a political witch-hunt designed to ignore the facts and evidence in a desperate attempt to damage Joe Biden's chief political opponent, President Donald Trump. It is a fact that Pelosi's January 6th Committee was designed to promote a political narrative, deleted records and hid evidence, promoted a "star" witness's testimony they knew to be false, and colluded with Fani Willis.

Once again, I will remind the Fake News such as the AZ Republic who troll my weekly newsletter that I refer to the J6 Committee as a sham committee because it is invalid. That's because then-Speaker Pelosi refused to seat the five Republican Members of Congress chosen by then Leader Kevin McCarthy to serve on the committee. As a result, the committee was operating without a contingent of members appointed by the minority party and it was nothing more than a partisan political charade. That is also another reason why the subpoenas issued by the J6 Committee have no legal standing. House rules for subpoenas and depositions require consultation between majority and minority members, which was impossible because the J6 Committee had no formal GOP-appointed members.

Over three years have passed since January 6, 2021, yet many individuals are still being held by the District of Columbia Department of Corrections, including many for non-violent crimes like trespassing. Defendants have been abused by guards or prisoners, or are receiving other cruel treatment such as being held in solitary confinement for 23 hours a day.

One of the most fundamental principles this republic is founded on is an equal application of justice, due process, and access to counsel and a free and fair trial no matter what. If January 6th defendants are being subject to cruel and unusual punishment, denied bail for non-violent crimes, or withheld evidence in their case based on their support for Donald Trump, then we have lost the Constitution and have political prisoners akin to the Soviet Union. No matter the crime, our system of justice must be maintained.

More than 1,000 people have been charged by the Department of Justice (DOJ) in this political purge, reminiscent of Soviet Russia. The DOJ is singularly focused on the crime of being conservative. The DOJ is a national disgrace.
