His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck of Bhutan arrives in Mongolia

At the invitation of the President of Mongolia His Excellency Khurelsukh Ukhnaa and his spouse Mrs. Bolortsetseg Luvsandorj, Their Majesties King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen Jetsun Pema Wangchuck of the Kingdom of Bhutan, along with the Royal Family, arrived in Mongolia for a State Visit on 8 July, 2024.

Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia H.E. B.Battsetseg, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Kingdom of Bhutan H.E. D.Ganbold, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bhutan to Mongolia H.E. Vetsop Namgyel and other officials greeted and welcomed His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel and the Bhutanese delegation at the Chinggis Khaan International Airport.

During the inaugural State Visit of the King of Bhutan to Mongolia, the two Heads of State will hold official talks and plan to sign bilateral documents aimed at expanding the friendly relations and strengthening the legal framework.

His Majesty the King Jigme, accompanied by the Royal family, will attend the opening ceremony of the National Naadam Festival and other ceremonial events as the Guest of Honor. Also, they plan to visit the Chinggis Khaan National Museum, Bogd Khaan Palace Museum, United Nations Resident Coordinator Office and International Think Tank for Land Locked Developing Countries to get acquainted with Mongolian history, culture and traditions.

Mongolia and the Kingdom of Bhutan established diplomatic relations on 18 January, 2012.
