YSU rector's visit to Los Angeles

An inaugural dinner of the Foundation "Friends of Yerevan State University" was held in "Hampar" hall of the Western Diocese of the Armenian church by His Eminence Hovnan Archbishop Derderian. Dr. Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, Rector of Yerevan State University and Dr. Mikayel Hovhannisyan, vice-rector of YSU were among the guests of the event. Karen Israyelyan, Consul General of Armenia in Los Angeles was among the invitees of the event, where he also delivered a speech.

On July 31 a Declaration of Intentions was signed between the Armenian Bar Association, Yerevan State University and Prosecutor General's office of Armenia, which is aimed at furthering the innovative learning and creating legal training opportunities for practitioners in the Republic of Armenia and for diasporan law students. The Declaration envisages the establishment of juridical laboratory in the premises of the Prosecutor General's office. Dr. Hovhannisyan, the Rector of YSU, Judge Armenuhi Ashvanian and Lucy Varpetian, Chairwoman of the Armenian Bar Association made remarks during the signing ceremony.
