Strikes against Israel by Hezbollah and auxiliary elements supported by Iran (08.10.24)

France strongly condemns the missile attack carried out yesterday by Hezbollah, which targeted the city of Haifa, in northern Israel.

As President Macron said in his meeting on 6 September with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, France reaffirms its unshakeable commitment to Israel's security. The attacks against Israel and its citizens carried out by Hezbollah and auxiliary elements supported by Iran must stop.

A year after the 7 October attacks, France reiterates the need for an immediate ceasefire, in order to guarantee the security expected by Israelis and everyone in the region.
