Upcoming Referendum Question
There will be one referendum question initiated by petition on Niles Voters' Ballot at the upcoming November 5, 2024, Presidential Election. Pursuant to applicable law, the Village is providing information to assist you in understanding the impact of your vote in advance of your heading to the polls. The following Referendum Question will be on the ballot for every Village of Niles Voter at the November 5, 2024, General Election: "Shall the Village of Niles be divided into 6 districts with one Trustee elected from each district in accordance with Illinois Municipal Code (65 ILCS 5/3.1-25-75)?" Please view the following document which contains educational and factual information for voters in the Village of Niles regarding this referendum question.
The Village of Niles also mailed a postcard to Niles residents with information about this referendum question on October 11, 2024.
