Celebrated Inside the NBA Visionary Tim Kiely Returns to TNT Sports as Vice President, Executive Producer of NBA Studio Production

TNT Sports today announced that celebrated Inside the NBA producer Tim Kiely will return to the company ahead of the 2024-25 NBA regular season. Kiely, who was instrumental in the critical success and popularity of TNT Sports' studio production during his first previous tenure with the company from 1995-2023, will serve as vice president, executive producer of NBA studio production.

Prior to retiring, Kiely had served as vice president executive producer of production, including oversight for TNT's Emmy-award winning Inside the NBA studio show. After joining Turner in 1995, Kiely would help propel Inside the NBA to its iconic stature, now recognized as the gold standard for sports studio shows with its unmatched chemistry featuring Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, Shaquille O'Neal and Kenny Smith. The show - which is celebrating its 35^th season - has captured 21 Sports Emmys and was named the first-ever recipient of the Curt Gowdy Transformative Media Award by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2020. 

Along with the NBA on TNT, Kiely has overseen the studio shows for MLB on TBS, NASCAR, Atlanta Braves baseball, college football and Wimbledon. He also played a key role in the launch of NBA TV.

Previously, Kiely served as coordinating producer at ESPN where he produced studio shows across multiple properties. He was also a producer for Mizlou Sports News Network and began his career at WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh for the station's sports coverage of Steelers preseason NFL games and University of Pittsburgh football and basketball games, as well as live remote specials from the Orange and Fiesta bowls, the Super Bowl and the U.S. Open golf tournament. 

Kiely received his bachelor's degree in English from Columbia University, where he also lettered in football.
