On October 19, 2024, at approximately 7:30 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the area of Ross Avenue and Sherbrook Street for the report of an adult male armed with a machete and swinging it around in the air, who approached a large group of children playing in a green space.
Central District General Patrol Officers, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team (TST), attended the area and located a 12-year-old victim, who was not injured as a result of the assault. Officers were directed to the 600 block of Pacific Avenue, where officers located thesuspect and a machete.
Bronxton STRONG, 18-years-old of Winnipeg has been charged with the following:
