Municipal Court Week Events

Municipal Court Week takes place starting Monday, Nov. 4 through Friday, Nov. 8, 2024. The 68th Texas Legislature prescribed that first full week in November as Municipal Court Week to show appreciation for the contributions that Texas municipal courts make to the safety and well-being of our communities. In celebration of the week, we have some special activities planned for the community at the Lakeway Justice Complex.

COURT EVENTS FOR MUNICIPAL COURT WEEK

• The court team invites you to the Lakeway Justice Complex at 104 Cross Creek during Municipal Court Week to grab some free traffic safety materials and other goodies during normal business hours (9 a.m. - 4 p.m.).
• On Monday, Nov. 4, the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension will have a distracted driving simulator set up in the court lobby during normal business hours for the community to experience firsthand the dangers of driving distracted.
• On Wednesday, Nov. 6, we invite you to our new Teen Court as teen court jurors will be facilitating a mock trial for the community in the courtroom from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend this free event. CLICK HERE to learn more about teen court.

COURT CLOSURE

Please note that Lakeway Municipal Court will be CLOSED on Tuesday, Oct. 29, as well as Thursday, Oct. 31 and Friday, Nov. 1 for court software training purposes. Lakeway Municipal Court will resume on Monday, Nov. 4, 2024, so please join us then for Municipal Court Week!
