Two people arrested near 7th Aly/Polk, including one for drug possession

At 12:53 p.m. on September 3, Eugene Police officer was conducting a patrol check of 7th Aly and Polk Street, where residents have reported drug use, sales, and other criminal activities. The officer saw three people trespassing in the lot south of 7th Aly, which is owned by the 7-Eleven, and contacted them. One of the individuals, Jonathan George Music, age 55, was contacted along with Christina Marie Knapp, age 30. Music had a confirmed EPD warrant and Knapp had a Springfield Police warrant.

Once officers searched Music prior to transporting him, they discovered Music had a dagger-style knife, which as a convicted felon he is not allowed to have. Knapp was in possession of 1.5 grams of methamphetamine, which after HB4002 went into effect is now a criminal charge. Music was lodged at Lane County Jail for Felon in Possession of Restricted Weapon and the warrant (Case 24-13029). Knapp was transported to Springfield Jail and lodged on her warrant and Possession of Methamphetamine Drug Enforcement Misdemeanor (Case 24-13032)
