Military Holiday Heroes Christmas Tree: Honoring Veterans in East Baton Rouge Parish

Baton Rouge, LA - December 2, 2024 - Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome, in collaboration with The Mayor's Advisory Council on Veterans Affairs, is honored to announce the Military Holiday Hero Christmas Tree, a special tribute to our local veterans and active-duty military personnel. The community is invited to submit the names, rank, and branch of service of their military heroes to be included on the tree. Photos are welcome to accompany submissions.

A special ceremony and tree lighting will take place on the first floor of Baton Rouge City Hall on Monday, December 9, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. Join us as we celebrate the service and honor the sacrifice of those who have served our country.

"This Military Holiday Hero Christmas Tree is a meaningful way for our community to express our gratitude to the brave men and women who have served in the armed forces," Mayor Broome said. "It is our privilege to honor them during this special season and remind them that their service is never forgotten."
