City of Salem to host Energy Fair

Mayor Dominick Pangallo and the City of Salem are pleased to announce the 3rd Energy Fair on Thursday, September 12th from 3:00-7:00pm. Renters, homeowners, and landlords are welcome and encouraged to come and learn about how they can save money on their energy bills while making their homes more comfortable and efficient - and enjoy FREE food and games while they're at it. Boxed meals provided by Root will be available. This is a family-friendly event open to all North Shore residents.

"Salem is excited to be participating in the Beverly-Salem Energy Challenge," said Mayor Pangallo, "Mass Save work is critically important in our collective efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Our joint Energy Challenge aims to facilitate 2,000+ Home Energy Assessments, resulting in 700+ insulation upgrades, 250+ heat pump installations, and a substantial reduction in greenhouse gas emissions from the buildings sector. Last year we performed 1,035 assessments and upgraded insulation in 345 homes, thanks to our engaged community members. I am grateful to city staff and residents for all their hard work and commitment toward these important efforts. I encourage all residents to attend our upcoming Energy Fair to learn more about how we can continue to work toward these critical goals, together."
