Launch of Energize Green Bay, First Anniversary of Green Bay’s Clean Energy Plan

Location: Villa West, 1650 9th St, Green Bay, WI. Villa West is an apartment community managed by the Wisconsin Housing Preservation Corporation, which has installed solar panels partially financed with federal tax credits.

Green Bay, WI - On December 11, 2024, Mayor Eric Genrich will join Alex Galt, the City's Clean Energy Connector, and Mou Vang, Asset Manager for the Wisconsin Housing Preservation Corporation, for a press conference to highlight the progress Green Bay has made in advancing clean energy initiatives. This event will mark two key milestones:

  • The Launch of Energize Green Bay: A new initiative aimed at expanding clean energy access, improving energy efficiency, and fostering sustainability across the city.
  • Celebration of the First Anniversary of Green Bay's Clean Energy Plan: A year of successful implementation of the city's strategy to reduce carbon emissions, promote renewable energy, and create a more sustainable future for Green Bay.

Additionally, the City of Green Bay will announce its designation as a SolSmart Silver Community, recognizing Green Bay's efforts to streamline solar energy development and support solar energy businesses and residents.
