On August 1, 2024, at approximately 5:41 p.m., the New York State Police in Rochester Gun Involved Violence Elimination (GIVE) Unit initiated a traffic stop on a 2013 Chevy sedan on Hudson Avenue in the city of Rochester.

Subsequent to an investigation, a loaded handgun was located and determined to be stolen out of Mississippi. The driver, Jaleel J. Bagley, age 22, of Rochester, NY, and the passenger, Mizele J. Artis, age 19, of Rochester, NY, were taken into custody and transported to SP Rochester for processing.

Bagley and Artis were charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd: Loaded Firearm (C Felony) and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th (E Felony). Both suspects were transported to Monroe County Jail for CAP arraignment.
