UW and Wyoming APEX Accelerator to Host GSA Contracting Webinar Sept. 12

Small-business owners will have an opportunity to learn how to work with U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) contracting Thursday, Sept. 12.

Sarah Mikesell Growney and Eric Weisman will discuss the subject during a Wyoming APEX Accelerator "Lunch and Learn" webinar titled "The Pros, Cons and Hows of Working With GSA Contracting and More" from noon-1 p.m. To register, go here. Registration is free.

Wyoming APEX Accelerator, part of the Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network housed at the University of Wyoming, is the state's expert in government contracting assistance.

The GSA Multiple Award Schedule is an efficient, long-term, governmentwide contract. However, getting on a GSA schedule takes dedication and work and may not be the perfect avenue for every business.

During the webinar, Weisman, Region 8 small-business specialist, will give small-business owners a periphery view of the GSA schedule and help determine whether small businesses should make this part of their government contracting goals.

Mikesell Growney is a procurement adviser for Wyoming APEX Accelerator.

The Wyoming SBDC Network offers business expertise to help Wyoming residents think about, launch, grow, reinvent or exit their business. The Wyoming SBDC Network is hosted by UW with state funds from the Wyoming Business Council and funded, in part, through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
