Suspect Arrested, Charged in Stabbing at 9450 Kerrwood Drive

October 7, 2024- Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the stabbing of a man at 9450 Kerrwood Drive about 5:25 a.m. on Saturday (October 5).

The suspect, Elizabeth Maribel Soto, 30, is charged with aggravated assault of a family member in the 232nd State District Court. A booking photo of Soto is attached to this news release.

The victim, 35, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective Z. Brumley reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a hospital for a male stabbing victim. Officers arrived and located a male with multiple stab wounds and following a preliminary investigation, a search warrant was executed at a residence at the above address where the incident had occurred.

Further investigation and evidence from the scene determined the stabbing was committed by the suspect, identified as Soto. Soto was arrested and charged for her role in the incident. She was then booked into the Harris County Jail.
