Serbian President visits builders of local project

Vucic takes a group photo with the builders involved in the project.

"Your hard work and selfless dedication are laying a solid foundation for Serbia's future development." On Aug 25, Aleksandar Vucic, President of Serbia, visited the construction site of the Expo Center's main structure, a project undertaken by POWERCHINA. He expressed his gratitude to the Chinese and Serbian builders during his visit.

Vucic inspected the construction progress, engaging with the workers to learn about their work conditions and daily lives. He deeply admired the project's team, praising their efficiency and dedication to advancing Serbia's critical infrastructure. He emphasized that the Expo Center is a landmark project for Serbia and a vital window to enhance the country's international influence.

Vucic encouraged the Chinese and Serbian builders to unite, work together, and ensure the project's high-quality completion. He also took group photos with the builders.

Located in the Surcin District, about 13.5 kilometers southwest of downtown Belgrade, the Serbian Expo Center is a significant building project prioritized by Serbia. Upon completion, it will host the Expo 2027 Belgrade and accommodate up to 43,000 visitors daily. The main structure includes various buildings and facilities, such as the administrative building, exhibition halls, corridors, and the green tower, covering an area of approximately 172,000 square meters.
