Get Informed and Involved at Volusia COAD’s Annual Meeting on Disaster Preparedness and Recovery

Volusia County's Emergency Management Division and the Volusia Community Organization Active in Disasters (COAD) invite residents, nonprofit organizations, businesses, and faith-based groups to attend COAD's annual meeting. The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13, at the Florida Department of Health-Daytona Beach, 1845 Holsonback Drive.

Attendees will learn about COAD's disaster preparedness and response efforts, its coordination with local governments, including Volusia County, and opportunities for involvement. COAD aims to enhance the efforts of government agencies and other disaster response organizations by coordinating volunteers and resources to serve those affected by disasters. Recognized by Volusia County in its State Emergency Plan, COAD accepts monetary and non-monetary donations to assist disaster victims.
