We would like to share some of the recent legal successes TMPA has had for our members. In this report, we will give the names of the attorneys who represented our members but omit the names of the members involved.

Paul G. Aman - Paul G. Aman, Attorney at Law, P.C.
• Member was involved in an on-duty shooting. Upon review, the grand jury no billed member.
• Member was placed under IA for an on-duty accident with injuries. Upon review, member was found not at fault and no disciplinary action was taken.
• Member was involved in an on-duty shooting. Upon review, the member was no billed and the case was closed.
• Member was placed under IA for hostile work environment. Upon review, member was exonerated, and the case was closed.

Randall Beatty - Newton Jones & McNeely
• Member was involved in an on-duty shooting. Upon review, the member was no billed and the case was closed.

Kenneth Biggs - Biggs & Greenslade, PC
• Member was involved in an on-duty shooting. Upon review, the grand jury ruled the shooting to be justified and no criminal charges were brought against member.

Amanda Bolin - Smith, McDonald, Bolin
• Member was given a 4-day suspension for vaping in patrol car. After appeal, the 4-day suspension was reduced to 1-day suspension.
• Member received a general discharge on F5. After appeal, F5 was amended to reflect an honorable discharge.

Greg Cagle - Gregory Cagle, Attorney at Law, P.C.
• Member was suspended for body cam policy violation. After appeal, suspension was reversed and 100% backpay awarded.

Steven Dunbar - Law Offices of Steven M. Dunbar
• Member was placed under IA and demoted for inappropriate comments made to an inmate. After appeal, the discipline was overturned, and member was reinstated with backpay.
• Member was terminated and received a dishonorable discharge on F5. After appeal, F5 was amended to reflect an honorable discharge.
• Member was placed under IA with criminal charges pending for policy violations for conduct. Upon review, the criminal investigation was suspended, and member was returned to full duty.

William Lee Hon - Hon Law Firm PLLC
• Member was involved in an on-duty shooting. Upon review, the grand jury no billed member.
• Member was involved in an on-duty shooting. Upon review, member was no billed.

Zach Horn - Gorsky, Gilbert, Snider, Horn, Rogers, Watsky, LLP
• Member was involved in an on-duty shooting. Upon review, member was no billed.

Chad Hyde - Gregory A. Richards, P.C.
• Member received a dishonorable discharge on F5. After appeal, F5 was amended to reflect an honorable discharge.

Robert McCabe - Law Office of Robert M. McCabe
• Member was placed under IA for code of conduct violation. Upon review, the charges were unfounded, and the case was closed.
• Member received a general discharge on F5. After appeal, F5 was amended to reflect an honorable discharge.

Randall Moore - Law Offices of Randall D. Moore, PLLC
• Member was placed under IA for giving false information during a traffic stop. Upon review, member was exonerated.
• Member was placed under IA for misappropriation of funds. Upon review, member was cleared with no criminal charges.
• Member was involved in an on-duty shooting. Upon review, member was cleared by the grand jury.
• Member was placed under IA for improper communications with a student. Upon review, the charges were not sustained, and member was exonerated.
• Member received a dishonorable discharge on F5. After appeal, member's F5 was amended to reflect an honorable discharge.
• Member received a 1-day suspension for a fleet crash. After appeal and arbitration, a hearing examiner overturned the suspension and ordered the suspension to be removed from member's personnel file.
• Member received a dishonorable discharge on F5. After appeal, F5 was amended to reflect an honorable discharge.
• Member was involved in an on-duty shooting. Upon review, the grand jury no billed member.
• Member was involved in an on-duty shooting. Upon review, member was no billed and the case was closed.
• Member was involved in an on-duty shooting. Upon review, the grand jury no billed member.
• Member received a general discharge on F5. After appeal, F5 was amended to reflect an honorable discharge.
• Member received a general discharge on F5. During appeal, the case was dismissed and the F5 was amended to reflect an honorable discharge.
• Member was involved in an on-duty shooting. Upon review, the grand jury no billed member.
• Member was involved in an on-duty shooting. Upon review, the member was no billed and the case was closed.

Eric Perkins - Perkins & Perkins
• Member was criminally charged for theft by a public servant. Before a jury was to be selected, the charges against member were dismissed and the case was closed.

Ray Thomas - Raymond L Thomas, Attorney at Law
• Member was placed under IA for discrimination. Upon review, no misconduct was found, and the case was closed.
