PHOENIX, AZ - Today, Chairwoman Gina Swoboda and members of the Arizona Republican Party (AZGOP) cast their 11 votes for President-Elect Donald J. Trump and Vice President-Elect J.D. Vance. Chairwoman Swoboda was joined by prominent members of the AZGOP, local leaders, businessmen, and former elected officials.
The AZGOP and Team Trump in Arizona worked tirelessly to reach every voter in the state and deliver for President Trump - contributing directly to this historic victory. Arizonans are ready for new leadership in Washington and a return to President Trump's successful policies that made our country stronger and more prosperous. The work of President Trump is already underway and will only continue leading to his swearing-in as the 47th President of the United States on January 20th.
AZGOP Chair Gina Swoboda issued the following statement:
"Today, Arizona's 11 electors proudly cast their votes for President Donald J. Trump and J.D. Vance.
The voters of Arizona have made their voices loud and clear, delivering President Trump a decisive victory of over 187,000 votes, a 5.5% margin, the largest of any battleground state.
President Trump also secured a win in the popular vote, demonstrating the incredible mandate the American people have given him to lead us back to common sense, security, prosperity, and liberty.
As the Electoral College cast their votes today, we are reminded of the genius of our founders, who ensured that the entire country, not just population centers, would have a voice in electing our President.
President Trump united the country to achieve this victory, and he will unite this country to secure our future.
God bless America,
God bless Arizona,
and God bless President-elect Donald J. Trump and Vice President-elect Vance.
Let the Golden Age begin!"
Former AZGOP Vice Chairman Nathan Jackson issued the following statement:
"It is an honor and a privilege to proudly serve as a representative for Americans across the great state of Arizona - the home of trailblazers like Sandra Day O'Connor, Frank Luke Jr, and Barry Goldwater.
As a veteran, I know "Commander-in-Chief" is more than a title - it's a responsibility few can bear. When President Trump was shot, he got back up and yelled "Fight!" - a powerful display of strength, determination, and bravery. In that moment, President Trump showed the world that he understands the weight of the role he is about to undertake for our country and proved he's willing to take a bullet for our country.
Today, President Trump and JD Vance stand at a pivotal moment in history. Together, they will secure our nation's future for the next generation. I am proud to cast my vote on behalf of all Arizonans for President Donald J. Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance."
Abegal Gonzalez issued the following statement:
"It is a great honor and a deeply humbling experience to serve as the youngest presidential elector for the state of Arizona in support of President Donald J. Trump. As a young Hispanic woman, I am especially grateful for the opportunity to represent my community and this great state in such an important process. This responsibility is one I carry with immense pride, gratitude, and respect for the republic that unites us all."
Santa Cruz GOP County Chair Steven R. McEwen issued the following statement:
"It is with great honor that I have had the opportunity to work as a Deputy Director of Elections in Arizona, an integral part of winning the election for Donald J. Trump and now being appointed to be an elector for President Donald J. Trump and preserving our electoral process to keep this great nation a Republic."
Former Vice President of the Navajo Nation Myron Lizer and Dottie Lizer issued the following statement:
"As we, the electors, formally gather today, it is with high honor that we cast our votes for the 47th President of the United States of America for Donald J. Trump! As such, it is doubly our honor to represent the 65% of Native Americans who voted in the recent presidential election for change and a better future, who voted to Make America Great Again and to make Native America-Great!! - We cast our ballots for President Donald J. Trump!"
Navajo County GOP Chair Lisa Green issued the following statement:
"It's a great day for the country and the people of Arizona. President Trump and JD Vance will bring strong leadership and solid economic policies back to the executive branch. President Trump has put up with years of negativity and continues to work for the American people. I'm incredibly honored to be an elector and to have the opportunity to put him back in office."
State Committeeman Robert Swoboda issued the following statement:
"I am so proud and filled with gratitude to be able to cast my electoral vote for President Donald J. Trump. It has been a long road, but now the future feels bright, and one in which I have confidence my children can achieve anything they strive for."
Pinal County GOP Chair Belinda Rodriguez issued the following statement:
"It is an honor to serve as one of the 11 electors for Arizona. Under President Trump and J.D. Vance's leadership, America is on the path to being restored to its full promise and potential. President-elect Trump's thoughtful selection of his cabinet and the work he has already begun to fulfill his commitments to the American people demonstrate a clear vision for an even stronger and more prosperous nation than before. I am deeply grateful to play a role in this pivotal chapter of our country's history."
