TRAFFIC ALERT: Lane and ramp closures on SB I 435 for bridge rehab over Raytown Rd., Aug. 27 28

New lane and ramp closures evening and overnight, August 27 -28

JACKSON COUNTY - Crews will continue bridge rehabilitation on the twin bridges on I-435 over Raytown Road. The following traffic configuration is in place.

NEW: Beginning at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27 (TONIGHT) until 6 a.m. on Wednesday, August 28 (approximately) All work is weather permitting.

  • SB I-435 will be reduced to ONE lane
  • The ramp from EB I-70 to SB I-435 will be CLOSED

ONGOING:

  • SB I-435 will have a single lane closure over Raytown Rd. ONGOING through Dec. 2024

Reminders for work at SB I-435 and Raytown Road/Stadium Dr.

  • Two lanes will remain open at all times.
  • All three lanes will be open before the SB I-435 and Raytown Road/Stadium Rd. entrance ramp.
  • SB I-435 construction will continue through Dec. 2024

In the coming months, motorists may notice traffic impacts on SB I-435 near the I-70 interchange as crews work to rehab the twin bridges. All work is weather permitting.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
