Washington, D.C. - Today, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul issued the following statement on the Biden-Harris administration's failure to use Congressionally-mandated authorities to support Ukraine's fight against Vladamir Putin's unprovoked war of aggression.

"The Biden-Harris administration has, appallingly, refused to impose mandatory sanctions under my Fight CRIME Act - even after Iran's transfer of over 200 ballistic missiles to Russia last week. Meanwhile, they continue to stubbornly hinder Ukraine's ability to fight back against these very same lethal weapons fueling Putin's unprovoked war against Ukraine. Despite over four months of Congressional requests, President Biden still has not given Ukraine permission to use U.S.-provided ATACMS against military targets in Russia.

"The administration is defying the intent of Congress and in doing so encouraging our adversaries to deepen this type of dangerous cooperation. Turning a blind eye to aggression and hamstringing our friends is no way to conduct foreign policy."
