ODOT seeking public comments on upcoming projects

SIDNEY (Tuesday, August 20, 2024) - The Ohio Department of Transportation District 7 is seeking public comments regarding the following projects:

D07-Culvert Repair Fiscal Year 2026, PID 116498: ODOT proposes to rehabilitate six culvert systems in Miami, Montgomery, and Shelby Counties. Under the project, culverts will be cleaned out and spray liner or field paving will be provided. The project is necessary maintenance. The project is expected to begin in Spring 2026.

MOT-East Third Street Improvements, PID 116967: The City of Dayton proposes to improve pedestrian and bicycle access on East Third Street, from Webster Street to Keowee Street. The project is intended to improve bicycle access. The project is expected to begin in June 2027.

MOT-Smithville Road Reconstruction, PID 116964: The City of Dayton proposes to reconstruct South Smithville Road from US 35 to Huffman Avenue. Improvements will include reconstruction and repaving of the roadway, addition of a two-way left turn lane, new traffic signals, and a new multi-use path. The project is expected to begin in June 2027.
