Nighttime Closure of State Route 37 (SR-37) at the Novato Creek Bridge for Drilling Work in Marin County

Schedule: Monday, Oct. 21 to Thursday, Oct. 24 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Marin County - Caltrans is scheduled to continue exploratory drilling on the Novato Creek Bridge Replacement project on State Route 37 (SR-37) in October. Drilling is required to determine the replacement bridge's foundation requirements.

A full closure of Eastbound SR-37 is scheduled from Monday, Oct. 21 to Thursday, Oct. 24 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. each day.

Caltrans will activate Changeable Message Signs (CMS) to notify the public ahead of time.

Drivers should take the US-101 off-ramp at Atherton Avenue Take a right onto Atherton Avenue and follow Atherton until you re-enter SR-37 at Black Point.

The Novato Creek Bridge Replacement is scheduled to go into construction in 2027.

With this project, Caltrans proposes to reduce flooding from stormwater and adapt to projected 2130 sea-level rise for Novato Creek Bridge on SR-37 in Marin County.
