Violent Felon Wanted for Attempted Capital Murder Arrested in the City of Seagoville.

Violent Felon Wanted for Attempted Capital Murder in the State of Arkansas after Shooting at an Officer Arrested in the City of Seagoville.

On Monday, September 2nd, 2024, around 3:30 A.M., Officer J. Beck discovered two suspicious vehicles in the 2800 block of Highland Meadows Drive. They were situated in a parking lot at the Highland Meadows subdivision entrance community pool, which was not open at that hour. Officer Beck approached a male and a female occupying one of the vehicles.

Officer Beck identified one of the occupants as Chaderious Avery-black male -27 years of age.

During a routine check of Avery, Officer Beck received notification from the Seagoville Police Department dispatch that Avery was the subject of a warrant issued by the Pine Bluff Arkansas Police Department for Attempted Capital Murder, in addition to a parole violation related to a prior charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

The details of the Attempted Capital Murder warrant were later gathered from the Pine Bluff Police Department. Those details will be attached to this release, but include Avery first being in a shoot-out in a parking lot with another male. As an officer sat in her patrol vehicle and witnessed the shoot-out Avery came up to her driver's side window, placed a gun to the window, and shot at her as she crawled to the floorboard in the patrol vehicle. Thankfully, that officer was not seriously injured. Avery then fled the scene and was last tracked by cell phone headed towards the State of Texas.

After confirmation of Avery's warrant, he was placed in custody and transported directly to the Dallas County jail for book-in.

The woman was not involved in Avery's arrest. She also had no connection to the events that occurred in Arkansas and was released without charges. She will not be identified, as believed to be an innocent party to this.

In light of recent events involving unprovoked attacks on law enforcement, we wish to acknowledge Officer Beck's decisive actions in apprehending an individual who posed a threat to society and this community. Thank you Officer Beck for all that you do in keeping the community and the citizens of Seagoville safe.
