Commission Awards Contracts for Projects in Northeast District

HANNIBAL - During its regular meeting on October 2, the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded the following contracts for seal coat and resurfacing projects in the Northeast District.

  • A $4.8M contract was awarded to Magruder Paving, LLC for seal coat and resurfacing projects in Audrain, Monroe and Ralls counties at the following locations:
    • Missouri Route 15 - seal coat from Missouri Route 154 north junction to Route D near Paris in Monroe County
    • Missouri Route 15 - resurfacing from Route D in Monroe County to 1.1 mile north of Route 22 near Mexico in Audrain County
    • Missouri Route 154 - seal coat from U.S. Route 24 at Paris in Monroe County to 0.04 mile west of Missouri Route 19 near Perry in Ralls County
  • A $1.5M contract was awarded to W. L. Miller Company for seal coat projects in Adair, Knox and Sullivan counties at the following locations:
    • Missouri Route 6 - from the Chariton River, near Novinger in Adair County, to 0.3 mile west of Route D at Green Castle in Sullivan County
    • Missouri Route 6 - from 1 mile east of Missouri Route 149 at the Chariton River to Bus. 63 in Kirksville in Adair County
    • Missouri Route 6 - from 0.2 mile east of U.S. Route 63 in Adair County to Missouri Route 15 south junction near Edina in Knox County
  • A $3.6M contract was awarded to Mid-River Asphalt, Inc. for a resurfacing project in Lincoln and Pike counties at the following locations. The routes below are included in Gov. Parson's Rural Roads program.
    • Route K - from U.S. Route 61 to the end of state maintenance in Lincoln County
    • Route V - from U.S. Route 61 to Route W in Lincoln County
    • Route W - from Missouri Route 79 in Clarksville in Pike County to Route B near New Hope in Lincoln County (2 disconnected sections)
    • Route WW - from U.S. Route 61 at Edgewood to Route W in Pike County
    • Route Y - from Route W to Missouri Route 79 in Lincoln County
  • A $2.9M contract was awarded to Above And Below Contracting, LLC for a resurfacing project in Lewis and Marion counties at the following locations. The routes below are included in Gov. Parson's Rural Roads program.
    • Route F - from Route E to 0.2 mile west of U.S. Route 61 near Palmyra in Marion County
    • Route P - from Route A to the end of state maintenance in Marion County
    • Route Y - from Route K to Missouri Route 16 near Monticello in Lewis County

With the Governor's signing of the Fiscal Year 2025 budget, an additional $100 million in General Revenue is available for Missouri's low volume rural roads. Using asset management data, the Missouri Department of Transportation has identified 1,985 lane miles of low volume roads to receive treatments to improve road conditions. The roads are being bundled into 19 contracts across the state.
