Reminder: Carroll/Chariton County Route M bridge to close for bridge rehabi…

St. Joseph, Mo. - The Carroll/Chariton County Route M bridge over the Grand River east of Bosworth will close today, July 15, for a bridge rehabilitation project. Hardy Construction, LLC, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, expect to complete the project and reopen the roadway on Oct. 1, 2024.

The bridge, built in 1983, carries approximately 300 vehicles per day. The project will include replacing the bridge's deck, barriers and approaches, along with sealing the bridge structure and various drainage work.

During the closure, motorists will need to seek an alternate route.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
