Collision involving a State Police Motorcycle

On September 13, 2024, at 1:23 P.M., Troopers out of SP Niagara responded to State Route 93 and the Niagara Scenic ParkWay exit ramp for a two vehicle collision involving a State Police motorcycle. Preliminary investigation determined that the 2010 Chevrolet operated by Anastassia I. Radell, 69 of Youngstown, NY exited the Niagara Scenic Parkway northbound onto State Route 93. Radell failed to yield the right of way and was struck by a New York State Police 2002 Harley Davidson Motorcycle traveling eastbound on State Route 93. The NYSP Member had serious injuries and was transported to Erie County Medical Center. Radell was taken to St. Mary's Hospital with minor injuries. No intoxication detected.

The name of the NYSP Member will be released at a later time.

This is an active investigation.

State Route 93 will be closed this afternoon.
