Stanislaus State’s Online MBA Program Earns National Recognition Again!

For the second consecutive year, The Princeton Review has recognized Stanislaus State's Online Master of Business Administration (OMBA) as one of the top 163 online MBA programs in the nation for 2024. The University is one of eight California OMBA programs to earn a spot on the prestigious list.

"We are pleased to once again be lauded with this honor," said Terence Pitre, dean of the College of Business Administration. "Being recognized by The Princeton Review for having one of the top online MBA programs in the nation underscores our continued commitment to providing a high-quality educational experience for our students and the community."

This is the second time Stan State's Online MBA program has been included in the ranking since the listing started in 2015. The Princeton Review's business school rankings are based on survey results from students and administrators of each program.

"This recognition from The Princeton Review underscores the dedication and excellence of our faculty and students in the Online MBA program," said Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Rich Ogle. "At Stanislaus State, we are committed to providing innovative learning opportunities that empower our students to succeed in their careers and make significant contributions to their communities. This accolade is a testament to our ongoing efforts to deliver a top-tier educational experience."

The Review noted that Stan State's Online MBA program, started in 2012, is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and has an acceptance rate of 85 percent. Approximately 80 percent of the students enrolled in the OMBA program are employed full-time, making it an appealing option for working students seeking flexibility as they pursue their degree. The Review also considered the availability of scholarships, with the average annual aid package at just under $18,000.

Student surveys measure satisfaction overall and with a program's academics, faculty, students and technology platforms. Administrator surveys gather data about school admissions, selectivity, faculty training and credentials, technological infrastructure, graduation rates, career outcomes and other topics. The Review analyzes all information received through the surveys and uses more than 60 data points to tally the lists.

The Review reports that online MBA programs have become as rigorous as their on-campus counterparts and may be a smart choice for many business school candidates.

"Online programs offer flexibility, affordability and access to innovative technologies for students from a diverse career backgrounds and global opportunities," the Review wrote.

Stan State has been recognized by The Review many times in the past. For 18 consecutive years, the University has held a spot on the company's list of best colleges. The Review also named Stan State one of the top 79 universities in the West along with eight other California State University campuses.

Last fall, Stan State's sustainability practices earned it a spot on The Review's 2024 "Guide to Green Colleges," which serves as a resource for college applicants looking for schools committed to environmental responsibility.
