Appeal for information after woman's body found, Eastbourne

Wellington District Police are asking for the public's help after the body of a woman was discovered earlier today near the Rona Bay wharf, Eastbourne.

Police were called about 10.10am after a member of the public located the body on the waterline.

Work is now underway to find out the woman's identity and establish what has occurred.

We would like to hear from anyone who might know this woman's identity, or who is missing a loved one who matches her description.

She is an older woman, Caucasian, with grey hair, approximately 170cm tall.
