Jewelers of America Board Elects New Director

New York, NY - Jewelers of America (JA), the national trade association for businesses serving the fine jewelry marketplace, has elected Sheryl Jones, President of Sheryl Jones, Inc. in New York, NY, as a new Jewelers of America Board Director. Jones was elected on September 23, 2024, at Jewelers of America's Annual Membership meeting.

"Sheryl Jones embodies the values and vision that align with Jewelers of America's mission, and I look forward to collaborating closely to further strengthen our commitment to our members."

Sheryl Jones is a fine jewelry designer whose career began in 2000 after a decade in the television and music industry as Vice President of Communications at MTV. Her passion for the allure of diamonds and gemstones led her to work with renowned diamond manufacturers, where she honed her gemological knowledge and design skills while building a loyal clientele. In 2013, Sheryl opened her own retail space on 47th Street in New York City, showcasing her commitment to craftsmanship and quality. After relocating to Rockefeller Plaza post-COVID, she continues to serve private clients and wholesale to various stores.

Notable highlights of her career include having her pieces featured at Sotheby's in the Brilliant and Black shows. Jones has a Graduate Diamonds degree from the Gemological Institute of America and is actively involved in the industry as a member of the advisory board for the Black In Jewelry Coalition.
