Release: Congressman Lance Gooden Exposes FBI’s Deceptive Crime Reporting

Washington - Today, Congressman Lance Gooden (R-Texas) shed light on the Biden-Harris Administration's deliberate misleading of the American public about the true state of national security by underreporting violent crime rates. His demand for transparency follows a recent FBI announcement claiming a "3.0% decrease in national violent crime in 2023," based on substantial manipulation and underreporting of crime data.

"The FBI's latest crime report is not only fundamentally flawed, it's a dangerous lie," said Rep. Gooden. "The Biden-Harris White House is playing politics with people's lives, providing false comfort when American cities are bleeding from a surge in violence."

Rep. Gooden's letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray demands immediate transparency and correction of this propagandistic misinformation. The Congressman highlights the shocking omission of data from regions suffering from the highest crime rates, including left-wing cities like Los Angeles and New York City, and accuses the FBI of cherry-picking statistics to support a narrative that aligns suspiciously well with The Biden-Harris administration's goals.

"This misrepresentation of data by the FBI is a calculated act of deception that undermines our nation's security apparatus at the highest levels," Congressman Gooden continued. "It's nothing short of criminal to mislead the American public into thinking they are safe under this administration's policies."

Rep. Gooden is demanding an explanation for the discrepancies and calls for an overhaul of the FBI's reporting procedures to restore integrity and trust in federal crime data dissemination.
