SEEKING Clerk of Court Appointee

The McLean County Board of Commissioners is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to serve as the County Clerk of Court. This is an appointed position responsible for overseeing the administration of the county court system, ensuring the efficient management of court records, and providing exceptional service to the public. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal administration, superior organizational skills, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain court records, including case files, documents, and evidence.
• Oversee the processing of legal documents and ensure they are handled in accordance with state and county regulations.
• Coordinate with judges, attorneys, and other court personnel to facilitate the smooth operation of court proceedings.
• Provide information and assistance to the public regarding court procedures and case statuses.
• Supervise and train court staff, ensuring effective performance and adherence to policies.
• Develop and implement procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy in court operations.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements and safeguard the confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Prepare and submit reports, budgets, and other documentation as required by county and state authorities.

Qualifications:

• Proven leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Strong knowledge of court procedures, legal terminology, and record-keeping practices.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
• Proficiency in computer applications and case management software.
